The Kenwood TH-47A is similar to the TH-27A, but covers the 440 MHz band instead of 2 meters. RF output is 5 watts with PB-14, 1.5 watts with PB-13 or 0.5 watts on low power, or 20 mW in the ELP position. Receive is 438 to 450 MHz.
The Kenwood TH-27A 2 meter HT offers full-size handheld performance in a compact package. Useful features include: VFO knob, dual tone squelch for selective calling, high power output, 40 memory channels, keypad automatic off and battery save circuits.
Extended receive is from 118 to 165 MHz to include VHF Air, CAP, MARS and weather frequencies. RF output is 5 watts with PB-14, 2.5 watts with PB-13 or 0.5 watts on low power, or 20 mW in the ELP (Economy Low Power) position.
