Type: Amateur UHF transceiver. Frequency range: 430-440 MHz. Mode: FM. RF Power output: Hi: 1 W Lo: ? mW. Receiver system First, the playback volume was extremely quiet (fortunately but not distorted, which severely limits the troubleshooting), in addition, the antenna jack was broken and therefore the transmission power is extremely low.
The device had to be disassembled for "healing".
Recently I have a broken and aged Kenwood TH41e UHF transceiver lying around, suffering from various illnesses.
The friendly OM, who liked to use this but useful Transceiver, had asked me to breathe life back to the Old.
After disassembling the device showed that the very low transmission power in this device was only caused by the already oddly selected and defective RCA jack. So this had to be exchanged. In the following step we went to the troubleshooting regarding the very quiet playback.
