Starting to collect/purchase radios while I wait for my callsign to be granted from passing general last weekend. Came across a pair of IC2N's from a friend of mine that I'm trying to figure out. Looking for someone that can give specifics on the 3 pinwheel dials on top to define the steps from 144 to 146Mhz. Also has a "main" and "dial" switch on the top. Dial is self explanatory, but not sure what freq main would fall on. I assume I'm out of luck on any repeaters requiring PL tone with these radios.
I've also just purchased a IC706MII that supports 2M so I may be able to figure this out once I get my sign. But of course, I'm anxious to be 100% ready once I'm legal.
